The TRIO Student Support Services (SSS) program at Castleton University serves approximately 230 undergraduates. SSS provides participants with academic counseling, tutoring, peer mentoring, financial literacy programs, summer programs, and other services to help them earn a postsecondary degree. Our participants come from low-income backgrounds, including many families in which neither parent has a college degree.

TRIO Student Support Services (SSS) at NVU-J serves 235 students and we believe each participant is unique.  Summer Bridge provides five days to settle in, to learn, and to connect prior to college orientation.  During the academic year, we offer one-on-one tutoring, scholarships, and professional mentoring to support resilience and on-time graduation.  SSS (NVU-J) is a community of fun-loving learners and educational providers who believe in reducing college debt and serving first-generation and low-income students.

The TRIO Student Support Services (SSS) program at University of Vermont (UVM) serves 230 undergraduate students who are first-in-their-family to earn a four year degree, from a limited-income background, or have a disability. UVM's SSS has operated for over 40 years at UVM and supports participants through mentoring, tutoring, free printing, priority registration, and cap and gown lending. Additionally, participants can choose to take part in workshops and events to learn about financial literacy, study skills, leadership opportunities and managing stress. Last August, UVM's SSS launched its first Early Move-In Program where participants were able to move-in 24 hours early to meet peers and to acclimate to campus.
